Monthly meeting agenda

I.
Good Work
a. I would like to welcome everyone back from
Christmas Break
b. I would also to like to welcome a new staff
member Mrs. Blake.
II.
Pictures
a. First
of all I would like to remind everyone about Picture Day is fast approaching
III.
Time Out
a. Time out should be used as a last resort. We
as teacher should think more creative when applying appropriate behavior, less
think more on redirection, and substation.
IV.
Lesson Plans
a. Lesson
Plans should be completed the week before they are scheduled to be used; they
should be educational, fun, and interactive for the children and should offer
some variety. If anyone need assistance with planning actives or their lesson
please feel free to ask Mrs. Blake.
V.
Weekly Planning Time
a. Weekly
planning for curriculum, staff meetings, and training will take place on Friday
afternoon (2:30p.m.-5:30p.m.) beginning March 10. 2012
VI.
Maintaining Sanitary Conditions
a. In
order to maintain sanitary conditions we must make sure that our center
/classroom, kitchen are kept clean and clutter free.
b. All
mouthed toys in the Infant and Toddler area should be sanitized at the end of
each day.
VII.
Providing Adequate Supervision
a. Wed must make sure that we are providing
adequate supervision to the children in our care because they is the most value
part of our job.
b. Outside
playground, everyone must either sit at the designated area or play with the
children to make sure that no one gets injured.
c. Talking
on cell phone while on the playground or classroom is not acceptable.
VIII. Tooth
Brushing
a. Children
should brush teeth in the one, two, and three year old classrooms. This should
be completed every day.
b. Infant’s
gums should be wiped with a disposable towel after each feeding.
c. Please
make sure that the parents sigh permission slips for their child to brush their
teeth.
IX.
Parent Meeting
a. The
first parent meeting is scheduled for March 15, 2012 at 3:00pm
b. Discussion
Topics are co-pay, and late pay.
c. Drop-offs
and Pick-ups.
X.
Timely attendance
a. are
on time to work. When a staff member is late it makes it more difficult for
others
b. Make
sure that you are completing your full work day.
XI.
Professionalism
a. Please
remain professional when you are speaking with parents. DO NOT JOKE AROUND WITH
THEM. Often time they laugh with you and complain to me later.
b. Please
use your inside voice when talking to each other as well as with parents, and
children, the classroom next to you should not be able to hear your
conversation.
Staff meetings are important because not only do
they allow time for staff to discuss any issues they may have or time to learn
new and exciting things that can be implemented into the classroom. Staff
meeting offers both the management as well as staff to come together to discuss
any and all concerns.
